Innovation and Inclusion for the Region
FUNDOS is an independent private foundation resulting from the merger of several savings banks and their social welfare operations in the region of Castile and León (Spain), headquartered in the city of León.
FUNDOS promotes the social and economic development of this inland Spanish region through innovation in areas such as culture, financial inclusion and training.
With regard to financial inclusion specifically, FUNDOS makes use of MonteCredit, a credit institution that brings together the former Montes de Piedad of León, Burgos, Salamanca and Valladolid. Since 2015, MonteCredit has carried out around 100,000 lending operations with over 59,000 users.
