The Istituto Prestiti su Pegno (Ribagest SA) in Massagno (Lugano), Switzerland, was founded in 1997 by Giovanni and Agnese Santoro.
Items accepted as collateral include jewellery, watches, luxury handbags and silverware. Four times a year – in March, June, September and December – we organise auctions of expired or unclaimed pledge certificates. The auction catalogue is published at www.istitutoprestitisupegno.com, where written bids can be submitted, though live participation in the auction is not available.
Valuations and appraisals are also carried out for insurance purposes and inheritance settlements.
